Many people have heard or even used the Law of Attraction. However, there is one, more useful Universal Law. What is that and how to make the most of it?

What Is the Law of Assumption

It is the universal law meaning that you use your subconscious mind to create the best possible outcome for the present experience. You can also erase the negative consequences of your past experiences.

Moreover, the Law of Assumption, according to quantum physics, states that there are many quantum fields at any given time, so you can change the energy mentally because we choose a different scenario, that is, we re-create the energy of this memory

The law of assumption was propagated by Neville Goddard. Later many other self-help and spiritual gurus applied this concept. Goddard teaches that the way to create anything you desire is simply to assume the feeling of your wish is fulfilled.

Moreover, "your entire experience of the world is a symbolic representation of where your consciousness currently stands" according to The Joy Within. He also recommends changing your beliefs and assumptions about a given event to make it more positive.

You need to remember that as long as you believe that you have to reach for something, you are acting on the ego level ( the "me" and low-vibration emotions). It also determines emotionally who you are according to your faith.

So for example, considering yourself as a powerful Child of the Universe or a sinner unable to create independently, his/her reality will be true according to your beliefs.

The Law of Assumption vs. the Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction and the Law of Assumption are similar—but some consider the second one more powerful.

Firstly, the Law of Attraction is used mostly mentally while you need energy work to use the Law of Assumption.

Secondly, the Law of Attraction focuses on 'wanting something' and you are separated to this aim. The Law of Assumption, though, means that you already 'have the thing' and is only necessary to focus on this thing as already achieved. In the second case, you are the Universe, not separated from the Universe.

Neville Goddard states, “Stop believing in God and start believing as God.”

When can you Use the Law of Assumption?

You can use this universal law in many fields of life. for manifesting desires. You can work on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels to achieve your goals. here are the most common cases:

  • Work and career - instead of looking at your job as toxic and dead-end, you already see a new, satisfying one.

  • Creating Abundance - instead of considering yourself poor, you already seek wealth.

  • Healing Relationships - instead of focusing on your abusive partner, you create a new, healthy relationship.

  • Improving Health and Fitness - instead of considering yourself as fat and unfit, you create a different pattern - well-shaped and fit.

  • Spiritual Growth - instead of being a sinner, dependent on 'god', you see yourself as a god, the creator of your life.

  • Self-Help and Self-Development - instead of playing the victim you are the victor, with uplifting beliefs and positive thoughts.

The Law of Assumption: Can You Change Your Destiny?

We are always defined by what we want. and this is shaped by our soul plan and later conditioned by teachers, parents, culture and religion. However, apart from the vision of yourself, you have shaped in childhood there are many alternative scenarios.

Hence if you assume success, meaning that if you realize you are the person who has that job or that soulmate before you know it, your external reality will begin to mirror your inner world. The same will be true for failure, abuse and other scenarios.

However, you can change the scenario chosen at first in your childhood. It needs some work but the fruits are awesome. You are the creator of your life through thoughts, emotions and energy, using your body and mind, with the help of your soul.

Can the Law of Assumption Heal the Past?

Of course, it can, provided that you use his universal law with faith and persistence. There is no time in the Universe, it is only the attribute of the third dimension of life on Earth.

Notice how often you project your past events to the future through fears and worries. However, your present attitude creates your future, where you often dwell on the past. So as you can see, the past, present and future are interdependent.

According to the Law of Assumption, you can choose a different past scenario from many options instead of sticking to the one you have experienced. I will write below about how to do it.

How to Apply the Law of Assumption

Follow these steps to change your life by the Law of Assumption. Be prepared for surprises and changes in your life. However, if you start sabotaging them, the Law of Assumption will not work. How to apply this universal law?

1. Choose the Field of Life You Want to Transform

It can be the experience or your present situation. As I wrote above, you can transform relationships, your career, health and fitness, wealth or just your mind and soul plan.

It is recommended that you work on one field at a time. Too many cases will consume too much energy needed for transformation.

Then, pick up one particular memory or situation that you want to heal and transform. Do not focus on the whole field of life in general because your subconscious mind will show you particular memories.

2. Write Down Everything You Want to Be, Do and Have

There is always more than one level (i.e., physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) on which you work to transform your goal. But depending on this goal, one or two will be dominant.

At this stage, just write it down as an alternative scenario to what you already know. Do not sabotage your new option. You can say in front of the mirror:


3. Do the Ritual

You can use meditation with visualisation of visualisation on its own. They are both effective and will transform your memory or situation. While transforming your current scenario, always believe in your capability to create a new, positive scenario.

Ideally, find a peaceful place where you will be undisturbed. Turn off your phone. Close your eyes.


Then visualise your painful, negative scenario or memory. Feel the emotions but let them go. You might feel uncomfortable for a while and your body tense.

Now visualise a different scenario: you have a new, different partner, job, and parents, body (depending on what you want to transform). Imagine them in vivid detail.

Next, use your five senses to amplify the picture of your new scenario. What will you see, hear, feel, taste, smell? Stay in the new scenario for a while then you can say:

I am creating this new scenario now. Let it happen here and now.


The process is similar here but you can also ask your guardians for help and first, cleanse your mind with the energy of a waterfall or with White Divine Light.

Important: Assume That it Has Already Happened

Do not forget to assume that the new scenario is already yours, it exists right now, even if your husband is still abusive you struggle with an overweight body and your job seems to be the same as before.

You will not see the new scenario immediately in your life but it is already activated. It simply means that your thoughts and intentions start to influence your partner, boss, body etc.

In the end, add intention so that your scenario will manifest more quickly. For example:

This scenario ... is already real and activated. I am filled with love, courage and self-confidenec here. Let it happen here and now.

Example Scenario

Let's say that you want to improve your fitness. Visualise your body in a new shape, feel it, and make some movements to manifest wellness. Visualise various exercises you can do now and joy because of that fact.

4. Use Affirmations

Now read aloud the description that you have written at the beginning of the process (i.e., Step 2), feeling each word with your five senses. You can also modulate your voice to have a bigger impact on your vision.

5. Be Persistent

You need to visualise the new scenario regularly and read affirmations often to manifest it quicker in your life. Always remember to think about the way that you have achieved this scenario. And go on a mental diet - control your thoughts and beliefs. Never doubt in your new scenario and be open to changes in your life.

Plan the creation of your new life by the Law of Assumption in your calendar and set it as a goal or even better - train a new habit to help you with the manifestation of your scenario.

A Word of Caution

You will not manifest your new scenario doubting it, not practising reading affirmations and visualising and sabotaging the events that will happen in your life.

For example, you might find a new, better job offer but be afraid of leaving the old, toxic one. The same can apply to your relationship or finances. NEVER DOUBT IN YOUR NEW SCENARIO. You have to have absolute faith in this new scenario.

Try This Exercise

Program your subconscious mind for the creation of a new, more positive scenario. here is an example of this process:

  1. Before falling asleep, in bed, visualise yourself as a slim, fit person, losing weight effortlessly. Involve all your senses and positive emotions. Do this exercise for three consecutive days.

  2. Then have three days of break. However, never sabotage your vision

  3. After three days, you should notice changes in your body, your actions to lose weight or at least some plan for achieving this goal.

  4. If there are no changes, repeat the procedure but be more focused on the process and convinced that it will happen. Good luck
