Warning: You Will Practise Holistic Forgiveness Instantly

You know that forgiveness is important but hard. What about holistic forgiveness? Learn more below.

Roses teach us forgiveness

6

There are two ways of handling our wrongdoings: frustration, holding grudges and grievance or learning the lesson and even being grateful for the wrongful act. Whichever option you choose, it will trigger a chain of events, leading to grievance or freedom.

What Is Forgiveness

Let's learn the standard definition first.

Forgiveness is the release of resentment or anger. Forgiveness doesn't mean reconciliation. One doesn't have to return to the same relationship or accept the same harmful behaviours from an offender. Forgiveness is vitally important for the mental health of those who have been victimized. - Psychology Today

Forgiveness is based on your free will and intellect, but then you still feel the wrong done to you. Hence, involving all the planes of your existence is necessary – body, mind and soul.

Your body manifests by emotions and physiology. Therefore, you need to liberate and transform all the negativity accumulated there.

It Will Not Be an Easy Process

Unfortunately, even after having forgiven someone on a mental level, there are still uncomfortable emotions.

But despite these emotions, you still can choose forgiveness, giving these feelings away to God. You accept reality as it is, which means refraining from judging the wrongdoer’s deeds. You decide to let go of all the levels of your existence.

Some Quotes About Forgiveness

To convince you how important forgiveness is, check these quotes below. I have chosen only five but I can assure you, there are at least 50 of them, left by various famous people, e.g. Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, and Anthony Robbins or in the books like the Bible.

“Before we can forgive one another, we have to understand one another.” “Let us forgive each other – only then will we live in peace.” “True forgiveness is when you can say, “Thank you for that experience.” “Once a woman has forgiven her man, she must not reheat his sins for breakfast.” - The Positivity Blog
“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.” - Paul Boose
“Always forgive your enemies – nothing annoys them so much.” - Oscar Wilde
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” - Mahatma Gandhi
"So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” Luke 17:3-4

Different Views on Forgiveness

You can forgive someone by seeing it on many levels. Let’s start with our everyday life. You attract what you focus on.

It simply means that the more guilt, grief, and accusations are present in your body, heart, and mind, the more your “self” starts acting according to them.

You can feel big frustration, grief, guilt or anger. These emotions attack your mind, then your heart and eventually your body – living on the cellular level – causing lumps, cancer and other illnesses

When you are infected with the aforementioned emotions, no positivity reaches your thinking and feelings. Your beautiful garden of flowers is overtaken by weeds of negativity, stifling your energy, weakening your aura and eventually bringing negative entities.

The Alternative

Fortunately, there is a different approach. You can forgive, on all levels, regardless of being a victim or an executioner. Forgive, let go and do not come back to what happened. Stop living with guilt, grievance, and hate.

It is not easy, and it may take time. But your willingness to forgive the process is a big start. It is not important what kind of tool you will use to forgive yourself or other people. Your intention is what matters. But first, you need to learn two kinds of forgiveness.

Kinds of Forgiveness

There are two approaches to forgiveness: intellectual (also called traditional) and spiritual (holistic). The second one enables radical forgiveness, on all levels.

The Traditional Forgiveness...

  • is ego-focused,

  • has low vibrations,

  • assumes that something wrong happens,

  • is based on judgement,

  • focuses on the past,

  • has the need to understand everything with the mind,

  • promotes being a victim,

  • judges’ human imperfections,

  • focuses only on physical reality,

  • states that the problem is outside me,

  • assumes that you and I are separate entities

  • believes that accidental events happen to people,

  • is controlled by personality and ego,

  • assumes that reality happens,

  • considers death as a fact.

The Holistic/Spiritual Forgiveness...

  • is based on the spiritual world,

  • radiates high vibrations,

  • assumes that nothing wrong has happened,

  • is judgement-free,

  • focuses on the present,

  • is going with the flow, surrendering,

  • focuses on being blessed,

  • understand human imperfection,

  • is focused on metaphysical reality,

  • assumes that you and I are unity,

  • assumes that there are no accidental events,

  • is controlled by the soul,

  • reckons that we create our reality,

  • considers death as an illusion.

Holistic Forgiveness

Holistic forgiveness includes body, mind, and soul. You already know that it is necessary to forgive on a mental and emotional level. More details in one of my next articles. Now let's check the spiritual aspect.

The Spiritual Level of Forgiveness

Each soul, when ascending on the Earth or on any other planet, has a set of major events that will happen during a given life.

You have your soul role which is constant (e.g., a scholar, king, sage, servant, artist) but goals (e.g. revaluation, growth) vary for each life.

Hence, even if your role is to be a king, you will not have power in each life.

Do not forget that you are living on the planet of choice. it simply means that there is light and darkness. Sometimes souls want to experience the darkness to appreciate the light.

However, doing wrong to other beings creates negative karma and attracts negativity in the next life. After some wrongdoing, the soul must forgive himself/herself and later each being who has done it in return.

Moreover, everything has a purpose from a spiritual point of view. Thus, doing wrong or even cruelties to you gives you the opportunity to master forgiveness and shows the wrongdoer the dark side of their acts.

How To Practise Holistic Forgiveness

The topic is very broad and there are many articles about how to practise forgiveness. However, it is necessary to let negativity go on three levels:

  • Mental - by eradicating negative thoughts and beliefs,

  • Emotional - by letting them go, channelling in a positive way,

  • Spiritual - by reconciling with your soul plan.

More information about how to forgive on each of these levels is in my next post.
