Self-Healing: Practise 7 Plus 3 Habits to Make Every Day

Who of you would like to recover from any illness in 10 minutes’ time? Today I will give you an idea of how to achieve this goal.

There are many methods, which can help you, depending on the illness, used by academic medicine. However, they are usually called as quick fix. True healing takes place longer but doing some things for ten minutes daily or even more often will improve your health significantly and permanently.

What Is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is one of this healing methods. It is a system of self-care, holistic Indian medicine, which has been practiced for 5 thousand years. You can apply it to both physical and mental illnesses. This ancient philosophy that is based on the understanding of the age-old truths according to which well-being depends on the balance between body, spirit and mind. Ayurveda is a combination of the words Ayuh – meaning "life" and Veda, or knowledge, which in total means "knowledge of life" or "course of life".

The concept of Ayurveda has been recognized since 1979 by the World Health Organization as one of the few unconventional medicine systems that uses surgery. Unfortunately, still some people perceive this system as pseudoscience because it is a combination of empirical phenomena and metaphysics.

But Ayurveda is not only medicine, but a combination of medicine, philosophy, psychology, alchemy and spirituality, as well as astrology. The whole concept of this discipline includes leading a healthy lifestyle, herbal prevention, natural biorhythm, nutrition, detoxification of the body and energy balance.

The Concept of Doshas and Five Elements

The philosophy of Ayurveda claims that each person is unique, which means that there is no universal recipe for well-being, and everyone comes to their Ayurveda individually. Hence, there are three types of physique distinguished there as Doshas (i.e., vata, kapha and pitta) plus their combinations. More about them below. Prevention is crucial and should focus on lifestyle, regeneration of the body and diet. Only then can we achieve longevity and health.

The concept of the Five Elements

The Five Elements: ether (akasha), air (waju), fire (agni), water (jala) and earth (prythwi) are another conception, like the Chinese one. However, there is one more important detail in ayurveda: living beings consist of one more element – it is prana, which is life force, the energy responsible for physical, mental and spiritual health.

Why are five elements so important? Because we are a mixture of them, just like all the elements of our reality. Depending on the contribution of elements in our body, soul and mind, the energy in your body manifests itself in three ways (called Doshas) vata, pitta and kapha. Doshas define your appearance, character, habits, tendencies to certain behaviours, or susceptibility to diseases. Therefore, the lack of energy fluency and any energy disturbances in the individual elements can lead to diseases and other imperfections that manifest in the physical body. Let’s read a couple of words about of each Dosha:

Vata consists of wind and ether, and it is an energizing force for the mind and body. It is considered as the energy of circulation, movement, breathing, heartbeat.

Pitta consists of fire and water, which means the energy of transformation that and is involved in digestion, absorption, regulates body temperature.

Kapha consists of earth and water, the elements of protection and structure. They are nourishing the body and its growth; hydration and they support the immune system. Kapha is consistency.

10 Healing Techniques

There areeven Ayurvedic self-healing techniques that will take you no more than 10 minutes each day in total – in the morning, during the day and in the evening. Practicing them regularly will ensure better physical, mental and spiritual health. According to this ancient method of treatment, to be healthy, it is necessary to achieve full harmony of body, soul and mind.

They last 6 minutes in total and include four things to do:

1. Brushing Your Teeth  for 6 minutes

This one is obvious to keep your gums and teeth clean and healthy. Removing plaque and bacteria during brushing will also mean releasing negativity and unhelpful emotions, often stuck in your jaw.

2. Cleaning the Tongue for 30 Seconds

After brushing your teeth, remove the remnants of plaque from the tongue with a brush, tongue cleaner or blunt knife. The liver, gallbladder and kidneys are organs that help our body get rid of harmful substances and they form deposits as by-product of some metabolic processes, deposits and toxins on the tongue. If they are not removed, they begin to block the flow of energy in the body after a while.

The Use the Power of Sesame Oil for 2 Minutes

After brushing your teeth and tongue, continue cleansing your mouth by rinsing it with a tablespoon of sesame oil for two minutes, then spit it out and rinse with warm water. Sesame oil prevents the formation of plaque, cavity and gingivitis and it is rich in linoleic acid and works against fungi, bacteria and viruses.

4.Self-Massage for 3 minutes

You will need gloves, raw silk or a soft brush. Massage each part of the body 10-20 times Start from your neck, then continue it with back, and then rub the arms, hands and fingers with circular movements. Use gentle, horizontal movements to massage the upper part of the chest. Then go to the abdomen and massage it from top to bottom and from left to right. Next, go to the thighs. Rub them outwards and from top to bottom. then go to the knees and feet, massaging them with circular movements. Massage improves circulation and restores energy. Each segment of the skin is associated with an internal organ, and all of them work much better and have increased blood flow after massage, Ayurveda practitioners say.

During the Day

You need to perform the following techniques for 2 minutes:

5.  Drink Hot Water for 30 Seconds

Yes, hot water. Boil half a litre of water for 10-15 minutes, pour into a thermos and drink three sips every half hour. You can add some lemon, apple cider to it. Thanks to its special energy properties, boiled water stimulates digestion and helps flush toxins out of the body.

6. Practice Relaxing Breathing for 2 Minutes

Take a deep breath through your nose, hold it for a few seconds, and then exhale through your nose. Don't think about anything. If you find it hard to switch off, think of something nice, the beach, the wind. In this way, problems, anger and fear often lead to organ diseases. Relaxation helps you and your organs. Your brain will be stimulated to produce endorphins (happiness hormones that make us happy). However, this requires some practice and must be regular.

In the evening spend some time to practise another self-healing technique for 2 minutes:

7. Stimulate Digestion and Improve Sleep Quality by Massage

Do it for 2 minutes Heat a little sesame oil. Massage a few drops into the abdomen, then with your whole hand massage the abdomen with gentle circular movements in a clockwise direction. Then soak the towel in warm water and hold it on your stomach until it cools down. Finally, wipe the abdomen. This gentle massage supports digestion by stimulating intestinal spasm, thereby solving the problem of insomnia that arises because of poor digestion.
