How to overcome depression? Discover and try some holistic tools which will help you solve the problem of depression.
You probably learnt a lot about how to get out of depression. However, not each article presents holistic solutions. Here, I will describe them below.
I have already mentioned the tools used by academic medicine: administering medication, counselling, and psychotherapy (especially CBT). Some also use alternative methods of healing like acupressure or music therapy, visual imagery, and aromatherapy.
But the process of recovery is much more complicated. The methods mentioned above treat mostly symptoms, although counselling and psychotherapy can also address the causes. But even then, the spiritual aspect of life is usually neglected. Let's check what else is needed to combat depression:
How to Overcome Depression - 6 Necessary Fundaments
In the holistic world, there are 6 fundamental steps to follow in order to overcome depression. Without any of them, the process is just a temporary fix.
1. Resolve to Make Changes
Before you even start, you need to meet the following conditions:
Have a desire of overcoming depression,
Resolve to undergo the process, which often requires some effort,
Be ready for setbacks and challenges,
Be open to making changes in your life.
You will not overcome depression thinking, speaking and acting the same way as now.
By behaving the same way, you will have the same results, which is why every day in depression is the same.
More stimulants and drugs stop working eventually and your melancholy increases instead because it is a futile attempt to disconnect your mind in this way. When this stops working, suicide planning begins. What do you need to do then?
TO MAKE A CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE, YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR BEHAVIOR, LANGUAGE AND THINKING. - ARON
The Universal Law of Change works all the time and everywhere. It means that you can change depression into happiness. Important: just changing your place will not change your perception of reality until you change your thoughts., self-talk and habits.
The process of getting out of depression is the process of asking difficult questions and the process of confronting the reality that has arisen.
2. Understand the Cause(s) of Depression
Last week I described some causes of depression, including karma, lack of acceptance and forgiveness, a long-term illness and traumatic experiences in life.
All these causes can be drawn to three reasons: negative thoughts, self-talk and malevolent acts - to yourself and other beings. It all starts with a thought and then you say it, eventually doing something.
However, this mechanism can be used for both positive and negative outcomes. So you can either deepen your depression or find the strength to overcome it.
Write down on a piece of paper all the situations that led to resentment against people, yourself and God, to sadness, anger, and frustration. Then answer these questions:
• 'Why did this happen to me?' '
• Why did I choose such people before descending to Earth?
• Why did God give me such parents/people/such an event that has now led me to where I am?
3. Accept Your Reality
Once you know what is the core reason for depression, the time has come to accept your reality.
Accept and Understand the Values of Light to Work On in this Life
Acceptance and understanding are the basis for getting out of depression. Since you have chosen this body and parents, you have done it consciously before descending to Earth. Look at the piece of writing done in the previous exercise and answer the questions - also in writing:
• What do I have in common with this person?
• Why do I have this relationship?
• What value of light is to be mastered in our relationship?
Remember that all these people, who sting, insult and abuse me had been chosen before I descended to Earth. They are beloved souls with whom you agreed before descending to Earth to rework something, to see how much strength and light you have in yourself.
You decide if karma will be made up by taking action of forgiveness, assertiveness and ease or sinking into depression.
Every soul that belittles you, jumps on your head, is an executioner, teaches you assertiveness, courage, and strength to say 'no, I don't want this, enough'. The quicker you stand up for yourself, start being assertive, and reconcile with your wrongdoers, the quicker you close your karma.
Look at the situation that caused depression again and list all the values of light to learn. Do it in writing.
Next, say in front of the mirror:
"I thank myself for being able to see again how much light there is in me, how much courage there is in me, how many opportunities to accept, understand and forgive in my life: my body, other people's lives, and events that have happened to me. I accept and love every event that has happened to me, because it has been an event that will build the strength in me, and the light, to help myself and other people." - Aron
Do this exercise twice a day, for a minimum of 28 days. You can also practise this affirmation:
"I am a miracle, I am light, I am a wonderful, beautiful Divine being who makes his/her way to happiness, joy, acceptance, love, I am beauty in this adventure called life." - Aron
"I am a wonderful, beautiful being who accepts my body, my sexuality, accepts my femininity/masculinity, accepts my whole life and loves it because this life creates a way for me to fulfil my dreams." - Aron
4. Reprogram Your Mind
THE BEGINNING OF GETTING OUT OF DEPRESSION IS TO OVERCOME WHAT YOU CAN'T IN YOUR HEAD – TO OVERCOME THE PROGRAM OF SABOTAGE. - Aron
It is imperative to change your thinking in order to overcome depression. Treat the negative programs in your mind causing depression like a virus: kindly but firmly. Reset them in a smart way.
Depression is a virus of self-destruction, powerlessness, and surrender. Our destructive thoughts, lack of forgiveness, and compassion have infected the mind. And then the mind uses the body to discharge it. How to reprogram your mind? Try this: talk to your mind every day:
My dear mind, do not disturb, help me with overcoming depression. Let's create the energy of pleasure instead of sabotage.

To create the energy of pleasure, start leaving your comfort zone and praise yourself for any effort made. More about that in my next article, so stay tuned.
5. Change Your Language and Self-Talk
First, check the quality of your self-talk. How positive is it? Record on a dictaphone when you are talking to yourself and then listen to the piece of recording. What can you hear? Uplifting words or offensive language, put-downs, negativity? How many times have you criticised yourself? Probably many times.
Go to the bathroom and start saying aloud the following words:
"I love and accept my body and my choice. I am glad that before descending to Earth I chose this body from all other bodies and now I will do everything to make the journey through my life flow in the energy of pleasure, happiness, and joy. I am a wonder, I am light, I am a beauty in this adventure called life." - Aron
It may be hard at first, so start with these affirmations:
I am willing to release the resistance to see myself as a wonder. I let it go.
I am willing to see myself as a wonder.
I am willing to do everything to make my life journey full of pleasure, happiness and joy.
I am willing to see myself as light and beauty in the adventure called light.

Practise this exercise for a minimum of 28 days.
6. Forgive Your Wrongdoers and Close the Past
Once you have accepted the painful situation that caused depression, forgive the wrongdoers and close the past. You can do it in writing or in front of the mirror.
Recall the painful event, and visualise the wrongdoer. Do not subdue your emotions, let them go. However, then take a piece of paper or look into your eyes and say/write:
"Dear mind, display the first memory that caused me to sink into depression. Thank you for this memory. It taught me ... (value of light)"
By doing so, you begin to control the mind, creating a new reality. In the beginning, there will be sabotage because of the chaos in your mind. Work on your mind for a minimum of 30 days.
Then change the meaning of the painful event. Reprogram your mind by affirming in front of the mirror:
"Dear my mind, I dressed this event in failure, fear, anxiety, and so on. But now I know that it taught me forgiveness, and acceptance, so it was good, it serves me, so write it down as a good memory." - Aron
Your mind will boil at first but you can calm it down. by saying:
"My dear mind, this memory was right and good, let's focus on the here and now, I focus on one thing, on what I have an influence on – the future." - Aron
Visualise your dreams, your feelings during fulfilling these dreams, and your sensations. More about working with your dreams will be in my next article. You can also use these affirmations:
I am willing to accept the reality as it is. I am willing to focus on my dreams. I am willing to feel happiness, joy, satisfaction, rapture and enjoyment.
Burning Painful Memories
You can also describe the painful event, in graphic details, together with your feelings. Release all negativity there. Then burn the piece of paper and say:
The past will not change, it only has an impact on the future. I create this future with events from the present. Now I am standing and looking at myself completely differently. I am light, I am love, I am a beautiful, wonderful being who will begin to create his/her reality. So dear mind, write down the whole past as the way to that day was the right one.

In a Nutshell
Depression is like a mountain to climb so you need a good strategy to overcome it. Hence, it is critical to build foundations like acceptance, forgiveness, and understanding. You also need to change your self-talk, wording, thoughts and beliefs.
Doing the exercises presented in this article for at least 28 consecutive days will create new habits and mental patterns. Good luck with it. With lots of love and light,
